Our uptown client, an integrated communications agency, is looking for a Sr. Production Artist to join their studio.
Responsibilities include
Produce collateral, POS / POS materials, print advertising, event signage for various consumer packaged goods brands
CS4 or CS5 is ideal as well as strong InDesign skills
Compose and produce work in a fast-paced environment where speed and accuracy are required
Execute design files from art directors and designers into production / pre-press ready files
Requirements
Exceptional communication and organization skills, including but not limited to (CS4 or CS5) Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, word and PowerPoint
Ability to interact positively and effectively with employees at all levels within the organization
Excellent multi-tasker and an ability to work well under pressure
7-10+ years in a similar position
Team player. Will be proactive in assisting others to meet their deadlines when their own workload is light or not critical
Strong technical and production chops, as well as strong typesetting skills.
Graphic design skills not required for this role. This is strictly a production artist role.
Understands how to work with complex die lines, placing artwork correctly, creating bleeds, etc.
Solid typesetting skills and experience working with a lot of french versions of artwork
The Team
You will report to the Creative Director, and will work closely with the following team members:
Sr. Art Director
Sr. Graphic Designer
Two Intermediate Designers
One Junior Designer
Two Sr. Production Artists
